Welcome Day – SIGMA Clermont welcomes 68 international students
For the 2018 academic year, SIGMA Clermont will host a record number of 68 new international students of 20 different nationalities, for a stay of between 1 and 4 semesters, within the framework of various international exchange programs (Erasmus+, ARFITEC, BRAFITEC, MEXFITEC, Michelin training programs, n+i and bilateral agreements). The great interest shown by these students from all over the world for SIGMA Clermont shows the attractiveness of our school and the Clermont-Ferrand area.
A made-to-mesure welcome
With a pick-up at the station or airport, help in settling into their accommodation, a welcome picnic with SIGMA students, SIGMA Clermont takes good care of students coming to take classes, carry out research projects, or study for dual degrees. The International Office has once again this year done everything possible to accompany our incoming students in their arrival and integration in the school. SIGMA Clermont student mentors, members of the Students’ Office “International Team”, have worked hard to prepare to welcome their new colleagues in the best possible conditions.
At the Welcome Day the incoming students each received a welcome pack and had a question-and-answer session with the International Office staff to talk about the school, courses, and student life in Clermont-Ferrand.
Support throughout the academic year
Throughout their stay at SIGMA Clermont, these international students will be accompanied by SIGMA teaching staff and international co-ordinators. The International Office will remain mobilized, with the help of the student International Team, proposing regular social and cultural activities, trips, and information sessions.
