Programme Michelin Thailande

In 2007, SIGMA Clermont created a special study program for Michelin Thailand employees. This two-year program aims to encourage young and dynamic Michelin staff in their Thailand factories to come to France in order to receive our master’s degree in engineering.  Qualifications that will greatly help them advance in their careers when they return home.  Within this framework, the selected students receive scientific and linguistic preparation in Thailand and then 6 months’ language training in France at CAVILAM in Vichy before they begin their courses in September. Since 2007 more than 25 Thai students have successfully graduated from SIGMA Clermont.

A new custom-made program this year is designed for Michelin Thailand automation engineers.  The students will spend one year at SIGMA Clermont, taking various automation-based courses as well as Personal Development and Management classes. They will also carry out a year-long project, in collaboration with Michelin Clermont.

Alongside our extensive collaborations with Michelin Thailand, SIGMA Clermont nourishes privileged relations with Chiang Mai University and Kasetsart University in Bangkok - two top universities which work closely together with our professors on a variety of research topics.
