Rapid integration of our graduate engineers

50% are recruited in the aeronautical, pharmaceutical, automotive, naval and rail industries. The average gross annual salary, including bonuses, is around €38,000 for recent graduates.

This rapid integration of our graduates into the professional world is facilitated by:

  • A strong capacity for adaptation throughout their future professional lives
  • Apprentice engineers (industrial engineering speciality) : 89 weeks in industry over the course of a 3-year programme

A region with a rich enterprise culture

Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes is the first region in France in terms of industrial employment, and the eighth-richest region in Europe. It hosts numerous large international groups, medium-sized sector leaders and innovative start-ups.

Researchers working in three CNRS laboratories

SIGMA is a recognized centre for engineering and chemical sciences, with a cutting-edge technology centre of 3200m².

The goal of the Institute’s research activities is to propose innovative, sustainable and reliable solutions through the design of materials, structures and machines, to guarantee the performance of mechanical systems throughout their life cycle and to ensure the quality and efficiency of production systems. Research in chemistry involves first-class pharmceutical drug development, polymers, durability and multiphased process engineering.

These activities are structured within three CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) laboratories: Institut Pascal, Institut de Chimie de Clermont-Ferrand and LIMOS.
