All the research personnel at SIGMA Clermont are strongly involved in the creation of knowledge to meet the challenges of our society, particularly in the following fields:

  • chemistry and process engineering

  • mechanical engineering and robotics
  • industry of the future and data analysis

SIGMA Clermont’s scientific policy is based on sharing resources with those of Université Clermont Auvergne and the CNRS, with the same objectives in mind:

  • the development of excellent research
  • the emergence of new research areas though and interdisciplinary approach
  • creativity and opening up to the socio-economic world
  • strengthening international collaborations

SIGMA Clermont’s academic program is based on excellent fundamental research carried out by the school’s faculty members, who develop their activities within three CNRS Joint Research Units (UMR):
